Happy New Music Friday (the best day of the week imo), and it’s even better because it’s International Women’s Day!

Kick off the weekend right with these new releases from some of the most badass women in music (we love you!).

EMEREE returns with her second single ‘Walk of Shame’, which challenges patriarchal views of female sexuality with its poignant lyricism and infectious melody. Sonically inspired by Jordan Rakei, Cleo Sol, and RAYE, this is another standout self-produced and engineered track from the artist. The track fuses RnB production with retro grooves and the classic four-octave layering that the female producer has become known for.

"I wrote 'Walk of Shame' to empower myself and females alike to not be embarrassed about their sexuality and to embrace it in the same way that men do" - EMEREE

Let’s get the weekend rolling with the club-ready banger from Pink Matter, ‘Impatient’ featuring a heavy-hitting verse from Safety Club. A refreshing twist on their typical sound, Pink Matter proves yet again they are ever-evolving and ones to watch.

Alternative indie-rockers GAUCI bring us a new sweet sound with the last single ahead of their debut mixtape. ‘Come Around’ finds the light to bring down emotional walls, speaking of a friendship breakdown, with simple acoustic guitar and shimmering synths reminiscent of Men I Trust and Clairo.

TikTok sensation, Kate Gill's confessional EP 'from my bedroom floor' was unleashed to the world today, a dreamy and synth-filled pop project that is an exquisite meditation of what it means to be human. If you are a Gracie Abrhams or Lizzy McAlpine fan, you gotta give this a listen!

Round out your weekend, get rid of any Sunday scaries with and let Anna Leeworthy take you away with ‘Can I Heal Another Day?’. The R&B track, complete with ‘Kaytranda-esc’ production is a heartfelt exploration of the challenges faced by those avoiding conflict and the journey towards healing. The song delves into honest, inner turmoil, inviting listeners into a world where vulnerability and detachment find balance.
